Don't worry, be happy. Simple ain't it? Most things are easier said than done. Why?
Why are the better things in life always 'easier said than done'?
Of course, literally speaking, it is easier to speak than it is to perform an action. But if we are designed to be able to speak and act, what makes the latter harder?
Is it because everything we do is controlled by our minds? Setting a new year's resolution is always easier than actually sticking to it. Sure the first couple of days or weeks (if you're lucky) will find you all motivated & revved up to see it through. Then temptations appear out of nowhere & we crumble. I mean, who can resist hot, sugary caramelized candy-flossed popcorn falling out of the vanilla-blue sky?
Dramatic? Yes. Impossible? Let's not dash no hopes now!
Back to our topic, is it really that difficult to not worry? Sure a little bit of worrying keeps us grounded but do we have to allow it to take away our happiness?
Think back to all the moments in life you spent worrying. The bottom line now is, they are OVER. There is an end to everything, even bad situations.
Next time you find yourself worrying, gift yourself with the precious gift of time. What may be difficult today, may be the easiest of things tomorrow (or next week). Eventually though, it will be over. Even the bad situations, promise.
Emotions are a state of mind.
The next worrying thought that enters your vulnerable mind should be shushed by your new-found dominating inner voice. It is your life & you should choose how to live it, day by day. If you want to be happy, you should be. If you want to cry, don't fight it.
After all, to be human is to have emotions. Except now, you control your emotions.
Don't Worry, Be Happy..
